New Moon

What are your Intentions / Goals?

What are your Obstacles?

Traditionally, the New Moon is an auspicious time of the month to let go of limiting or detrimental patterns that are not serving our highest good. In their place, we are offered the opportunity to try new patterns—ways of being in the world—that nurture and support our wellbeing, happiness, and potential.

The new moon phase occurs after the end of the waning crescent phase and before beginning of the waxing crescent phase. The moon is not visible in the night sky due to its position directly between the Earth and the sun. The new moon gives us the darkest night sky of the month. This darkness is not about fear; it is about the magic of becoming. This darkness is like being a seed in the soil; it is a time of potent growth before breaking through the ground towards the light.

A new moon teaches gradualness and deliberation and how one gives birth to oneself slowly. Patience with small details makes perfect a large work, like the universe.

The New Moon is the time of the month that we plant the seeds of our intentions.

A seed requires the darkness and nutritional support of the soil to germinate, to break through the ground and grow towards the light, embracing its full potential, while maintaining its foundation in the soil.

Over the course of the month, we nurture these intentions as the moon continues to grow. Then, on the full moon is when we reap the harvest and enjoy the fruits of our labors.

My mission at New Moon in the Forest is to empower my clients to access the healing potential (light) within themselves and to flourish in both their outer and inner worlds (above and below the soil).

We each have a complex story and some chapters of it can be very dark and painful. Yet, if they aren’t resolved, they will most likely continue to impact our physical/mental/emotional/spiritual lives in negative ways. I believe the journey of healing these wounds can be an interesting, powerful and transformative adventure instead of a scary and daunting task.
